The origins of Atari games, and why they stopped and then came back
Atari was one of the first companies in electronic gaming, starting in the 1970s with Pong and later launching the hugely successful Atari 2600. However, in the 1980s, the lack of quality control and an overflow of poor games led to the 1983 video game crash. Atari lost its dominance and declined over time. In recent years, Atari has made a comeback with retro consoles and re-released classic games, attempting to reclaim its legacy in the gaming industry.
